Here at the Insight offices when any of us discover a clothing company that we love pretty soon the whole office know about it. This week is no exception with the stunning boutique that is Bunty & Co…

Situated in the quaint market town of Pocklington, Insight’s favourite boutique Bunty & Co provide a range of sophisticated and unique clothing. The vast collection includes pretty occasion dresses and comfy casuals, as well as striking jewellery, accessories and shoes ‘to die for’ all are top of the bill at Bunty & Co. Owner Nicola Scott established the boutique after finishing a degree in textile design; “After completing my degree I worked at a well-established boutique in town assisting with the business side of things. This set my ideas flowing and led me to wanting to establish a boutique and clothing line of my own. The shop came up for let and I knew it was the one – the rest as they say is history!”

Nicola told us.

Available online and in-store the brands stocked within this unique boutique have character, style and an individual look. Lines are selected carefully by Nicola and supporting local independent designers is key; “Many of the brands we stock are created by local designers, this I think gives us the edge over major high street brands. Our clothing is individual and reflective of quality and craftsmanship.” Brands include the vibrant and fun Danish brand Numph and friend and local designer Lisa Jayne Dann, as well as renowned names such as Yumi and Traffic People.

Nicola’s creativity can clearly be found within her own range stocked at the boutique. Zipped funky hoodies and t-shirts feature unique Bunty & Co slogans and designs which are proving to be extremely popular and a great staple for any wardrobe. However, her creative flow doesn’t stop there; the boutique itself is a girlie haven with chandeliers, shabby chic inspired wardrobes and treasure chests of drawers crying out to be explored.

A home-from-home feel is created and Nicola and her close-knit team are on hand to offer advice and assistance without the pressure or intimidation that is so often found at independent boutiques; “Many of our customers are regulars and come from miles around. We encourage browsers and love nothing more than for our customers to feel at home!” This personal touch can be found throughout Bunty & Co, gorgeous added extras are thoughtful and personal with deliciously girlie packaging, personal hand-written delivery notes and a notation of name and details of events from sales of prom dresses to avoid that all embarrassing scenario of wearing the same dress as someone else!
